Day 7: Mothers Day Lay Day

No surf…. The event was over and so were the waves….. It’s Mothers day so we just cruised and had a relaxing day doing not much at all… We took mum out for coffee’s and then finished with a BBQ back at Peters place. Peter and his girls showed us how to make these crazy biscuits over the fire…. Marshmallow on a stick, get it really soft and close to falling off the stick but not burnt… then place it on a whole meal biscuit then 4 squares of chocolate on the hot marshmallow and then another biscuit to make it a sandwich and then squish it all together… The hot marshmellow melts the chocolate and it’s all in side a crunchy biscuit sandwhich… Are you kidding me!!! OMG so insane… not good for you but got to try!!! A FEW 100 TIMES!!!! Rasmus lost it and had a sugar overload and started running laps around the house… These biscuits are insane!!!!

My Mum Eva Enjoying a nice Mothers day Coffee

My Brother Rasmus not coping with the relaxing Mothers day… In trouble and complaining wanting to surf or skate… No Hot Choc for Ras!

Peter and the Girls showing us how to make the Biscuits from Hell over the fire to end the day… Actually it just began again for Rasmus after the sugar hit.

Day 8: Starting to wig out, Got To Surf!!!

Got to surf!!!! Didn’t surf yesterday so I had to get a surf in today!!!! I start wigging out if I don’t get in the water!!! Haha… Dads taking the whole family to Trestles to surf Lowers today!!! YES!!! We hit the road early and headed south to Trestles. If you didn’t know where Trestles was you’d never find it…. Trestles is in the state park so you have to park your car far away and then do the walk in… It’s a long walk and a lot of surfers put their bikes or skateboards in their cars, and then skate or ride in along the track… We packed water and some food so we could spend the day there!!! It was worth the walk!!!! Glassy, 4 – 5 foot A-Frames!!! Lowers was going off…. And so was the crowd again… I surfed epic lowers and even though it was crowded I scored some siiiiick waves, I love this wave!!!. My little brother Rasmus surfed towards Uppers at a grom spot called 5 O, Dad said Ras was freaking out about how cold the water was and was getting ice cream head aches every duck dive, eventually Ras got use to it and had an epic session too…

After Trestles we headed back to San Clementi to visit our mate Bruce Beach and check out his house at Riviera where we will be staying later in our trip… There’s a siiiiick wave straight out the front of Bruce’s house… This area is a hot spot for all the USA Pro’s, Kalohe, Gadaski brothers, Kalani David etc… You can walk down to T-Street and I even walked to Trestles from here… So many fun waves right here… I was liking this spot and couldn’t wait to stay here….

After hanging with Bruce we hit the road heading back to Newport… Dad got a call from Jack Morrissey from Volcom saying come skate the Volcom indoor skate park… WHAT!!! The Volcom indoor skate park is a private park for Volcom and friends only… I heard about it and really wanted to skate it…. So excited!!! We headed straight to Casa Mesa and met Jack at the skate park…. The Park was sooooo insane!!!! Huge set up and we had it to ourselves… Ras, me and Jack skated all night… Jack was ripping!!!! Ras was on fire!!!! we all had an epic session…. Another epic day!!!!!

The King Brothers Rasmus and Kyuss do the long walk into Trestles keeping an eye out for Rattle Snakes!
