Bags and the Van are packed (AGAIN)… Not stoked though… I’m leaving Birds house at Riviera San Clementi… We had the best time here… waves galore, epic weather, skate parks and we met some real cool people. Rasmus and I had to get in one last surf out T – Street before we leave, waves were small but still fun and perfect for the Ras man… We only had time for a quick surf as we had to hit the road early to do a photo shoot for my watch sponsor “SHARK Freestyle Watches”.We did the photo shoot in a classic old beach shack right on the sand at 56th Street Newport Beach. We shot some crazy new styles and colours… the watches look siiiiick!!! The shoot was fun and all the Shark crew were cool to work with. Can’t wait till the new watches are out!!! We finished the photo shoot around 3pm so we had some light left so we decided to check out the surf at Huntington Beach Pier, and the town. We had our whole USA life still packed into the Van so if the Pier had any sort of a wave I was ready to surf it and I was real keen because I hadn’t surfed Huntington yet and this was my only chance… No luck though, the wind was mega up and it was super choppy and funky… so Ras and I grabbed our old-school skaties from the Van and skated the Pier and then through the small surf village of Huntington… Cool town, smooth roads and paths for a surf skate, Rasmus and I found a cool skate shop at the end of town and some local skaters were hanging out filming tricks on benches outside the skate shop, was epic to watch…We spent all afternoon until late evening in Huntington and then a quick stop off at Newport to grind some sushi (dinner) and then heading back to stay our final 2 days with friends Peter and Jaye at Crystal Cove Newport.

Day 18: Hollywood or Hollywood-n’t.
Mum pulls rank today and it’s no surf, no skate, it’s a road trip to Hollywood, Shopping in Melrose, and In and Out Burger and traffic from Hell…. This daily Blog is short n sweet… Mum had a credit card and she was keen to do some swiping!!!

Yeeeeew Hollywood!!!! I’ve seen it in heaps of the movies… Now I’m here…. The Hollywood Hills. If only there was a Point break down the road it would have been way cooler!!

This was my view for most of the day!!! A lot of driving and traffic to find mums shops… Hollywood, I’d say Hollywouldn’t!!! Get me back to the coast and ocean!!!
Ras keeps me entertained the whole trip with his fake Poo… We got a lot of people with this Poo!!!! Amazing what a fake Poo does to a Shopping Mall, Dress shop or Cafe in Hollywood!!!
Day 19: Home to Paradise.
Our USA journey was over! Bags were packed, we headed over to the Volcom indoor skate park and met up with all the Volcom crew and said our goodbyes and a BIG THANKS for the good times in the USA!!! We had the best trip! Scored epic glassy waves, stayed in cool homes around the USA, had amazing weather, met so many cool people and leave the USA with new friends that we’ll keep in contact with and surf with many more times in the future!!! The King family want to shout out to all the people that especially made our USA trip happen, A big thanks to Volcom Australia crew, Volcom USA crew, Jack M, Mikey G, Brad, Wooly, Spillsy, Dougall, Bird, Kelly S, Peter & Jaye, you guys made this trip so insane!!!! Thanks!!!!! Our door in Byron Bay is wide open to you all!! We will be back next year for Episode 2 of “Kyuss invades the USA”.
