BURGER RECORDS X VOLCOM PRESENT CYBER SINGLES CLUB: WYATT BLAIR – POP YOUR HEART OUT

Wyatt Blair has taken a life trip down a road paved with music. As a founder of the Los Angeles record label, shop, show promoter, and cassette manufacturer Lolipop Records, Wyatt has emerged in a thriving scene described as “semi-revolutionary, multi-cultural conglomeration of punk kids, loveless teen dreams and pop enthusiasts trying to change the world!” As a musician, he creates skillfully-crafted tunes from the combustion of raw energy and sophisticated hooks. If it weren’t for a friend sharing his original bedroom demo tape with Sean and Lee at Burger Records in 2009, things could’ve been different.

“I never intended on doing anything with it,” says Wyatt. “It was just something I was doing in my spare time. They [Burger] really liked it and wanted to do a tape. I just thought it was the coolest thing ever that someone wanted to do something with my songs. It kind of started from there.”

From that point on, Burger Records and Wyatt Blair have been mutually influential for each other. Wyatt even has an impressive collection of Burger Releases. “I have maybe close to 500 of their releases. I’ve always kept up with what they are putting out. They are constantly turning me on to music that I’m inspired by. It’s always like that with them. They’re like an encyclopedia with knowledge.”

“WYATT BLAIR IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGWRITERS I KNOW. STRAIGHT UP.”

Sean (Burger Records) said “Wyatt Blair is one of the best songwriters I know. Straight up. He has an ear for hooks and knows how to use them. He started with an inconspicuous cassette called Candy Eyes on Burger and graduated to starting his own rock ‘n’ roll happening called Lolipop Records in LA. Adding, “last year we released his new solo album and one of my favorite Burger/Lolipop records of all time called Point of No Return!”

An ode to to Lolipop Records and their motto “follow your heart”, Wyatt’s Cyber Singles Club contribution, “Pop Your Heart Out” comes from this core belief that you just got to listen to your heart!
