13 LITRES SAVED PER JEAN

Volcom Brand Jeans are now water aware

The same fits in the same washes, just now produced using a whole lot less water. Using reformulated water-saving techniques including enzyme and ozone wash, we’re estimating that we’ll save more than 4 million litres of water this year.

Volcom’s journey to a new future began humbly more than 12 years ago and has continued to evolve ever since.

It’s an ongoing effort of turning sustainability commitments into actions with responsible manufacturing practices, better fibre sourcing, assessing our impacts, and meaningful give backs. One more way, that Volcom remains, True to This.

Hemp is back in a big way

Introduced in our trunks 10 years ago, hemp is back in a big way. Better fiber sourcing is an important priority in our sustainability strategy, and hemp, considered one of the oldest fibers to be used in textiles, contributes greatly to the portfolio and ongoing sustainability mission.

*For Volcom better cotton might consist of organic, recycled, CMiA, BCI, or other cotton sources with an improved environmental and social impact.

the number 2

MESSAGING

Volcom will integrate Eco-True sustainability stories across all facets of the Volcom's consumer facing marketing.

the number 3

EDUCATING & TRAINING

By the end of 2020, Volcom aims to create an internal Volcom employee and leadership New Future sustainability certification program with at least 90% of employees completing certification.

the number 4

CLOSING THE LOOP

With an eye on the future, Volcom will develop a program that resembles our Give Jeans a Chance program so that used Volcom products can be collected, processed and either donated or kept for closed loop manufacturing in the future (hopefully a future that's not too far off).
